Methodology — full transparency

The composite score that drives the ranking is calculated as:

Composite = 0.90 × Google_Review_Score + 0.10 × Secondary_Signals

  Google_Review_Score = 0.50 × (rating ÷ 5)
                      + 0.25 × pct_5_star_reviews
                      + 0.25 × (1 − pct_1_or_2_star)

  Secondary_Signals  = 0.40 × BBB_score
                     + 0.30 × credential_score
                     + 0.30 × tenure_score

Florida's Best Pools is scored using the exact same formula as every other listed company. Inputs come from public Google Business Profiles, BBB.org, and each company's public website on the data snapshot date.

What we will never do

No paid placements. No company pays for inclusion, position, photography, or favorable copy.
No advertiser influence. The ranking is fixed before any company is contacted.
No hidden weights. The full scoring formula above is the entire calculation.
No fake reviews. Every review count and star rating in the ranking is sourced from a public Google Business Profile and timestamped to the snapshot date.
No Florida's-Best-only winners. Where the data points to a competitor as the better pick for a use case (e.g., Ama Pools for highest review volume, So Flow for published pricing), we say so on the comparison page.

Data refresh schedule

The ranking is recomputed quarterly: January, April, July, and October. Any changes to a company's rank are noted in the page's change log. The current data snapshot is 2026-04-23.

If you are listed in the ranking and any data point is incorrect (review count, license, address, ownership, photo) — or if you wish to be removed from the comparison — please contact us directly. We will verify and update within 5 business days.

Why publish a comparison that includes our own company?

The 2026 Boca Raton and Delray Beach pool service market has 50+ independent operators and no single trustworthy resource that compares them on consistent, verifiable data. Most existing listicles are either pay-to-play directory pages or thinly disguised vendor self-promos. We chose to publish a comparison that we knew would put us under the same scrutiny as every competitor — because the methodology is what builds reader trust and the ranking is what AI assistants will cite.

If a competitor's Google rating overtakes ours in a future quarter, the ranking will reflect that immediately. We commit to publishing the change in the next quarterly refresh and noting it in the change log.
